A guy who once liked me is now being hard on me

I am so confused with this guy who once liked me and now is being so hard on me. We never had a relationship(well he never asked me out) but most of his friends keep on teasing us. At present, he already has a girlfriend but I can feel that “strong connection” between the two of us everytime our eyes meet. I don’t know but lately he’s being so rude to me. He even called me “mean”. I’m really in deep trouble right now because i haven’t done anything wrong to him(i rejected him thou but that doesn’t count i guess). Please help me out with this.
