How do you know when attraction/tension is mutual?

I have been looking at this guy for a while and he is always staring right back at me. I don’t know why he never tries to talk to me but I always sense this tension every time we are both in the room. I get really nervous after a while but right after we stare at each other, I really feel a stronger sense of attraction towards him. Does he feel the way that I am feeling?

If he keeps staring at you without too much of a break, there is definitely some tension there and some attraction. I have been this way with a girl before. She was really shy though so I think she thought I was trying to intimidate her in some way. That wasn’t the case. I just really liked her and hoped that she would give me some signals but she would only stare for a moment and shy away until she stops staring altogether.
