    Hello,

Ok I have been seeing this guy for just under a month and we really like each other and things where going well or so I thought.

Two days ago we went for drinks and he said he had doubts that it was moving to fast and he wanted it to work long term so he wanted us to sort it.

Yesterday we spoke about these doubts again but this time he said I really like you however I don’t know if it will work whilst he held my hand. I followed him out the door begging him to not break up with me he said he was getting scared and me begging him back just confirmed to him we weren’t right together. He said he really likes me more than friends and if I need to talk he will be there because he cares but we won’t be in a relationship again.

What do I do to get his back together will space help and then waiting for him to contact me?

I’m sorry that you are going through this. It sounds like he’s experienced some type of trauma in his past relationships and it seems that it cuts pretty deep. Until he is ready to move beyond that, there’s nothing really that you can do. Get busy doing you and investing in you. Sometimes what happens with guys is that once they see that you have moved on, they become interested in you again. But for now, he’s hurting and hurt people hurt other people. So, if you continue to entertain him, it will only be a few weeks before you are back on this site posting things trying to get more understanding. The number 1 rule with dating men is if they tell you that they don’t want to be in a relationship, BELIEVE them. You won’t be able to change his mind.
