Online Dating: When You Match With Someone And They Don't Message You, Even If You Send The First Message?

Not everyone that matches with you on an online dating app is going to message you.

That is just the way it is in online dating.

The person may have initially matched with you because they were attracted to your dating profile photo.

However, upon closer examination of your dating profile at a later date, they may not have connected to what you had to say.

Hence, they decide against messaging you.

Even if you were to send them the first message, there is a good chance that they won’t respond because they already know that they wouldn’t connect with you based on what they read on your dating profile.

This can feel unfair.

After all, they aren’t giving you much of a chance to change their minds.

However, most people get a read for what a potential dating prospect is like based on that prospect’s dating profile.

If they feel as though they simply wouldn’t connect with the person, they will most likely not message them nor respond to a first message that the person might send.

It isn’t personal.

They just don’t want to expend the time and energy on someone that they already believe would not connect with them.

When you match with someone on an online dating site, that doesn’t automatically indicate that the person was even interested in you.

There are a good number of people who aren’t even paying much attention when they start matching with others.

For them, it is a numbers game.

They are trying to match with as many people as they can in the hopes that a certain percentage of those people will message them.

They are not taking the time to learn more about the person through the person’s online dating profile.

They are merely trying to match with as many people as they can without much thought.

They will begin the process of filtering through their matches once they start receiving messages from those matches.

At this point in time, they will be able to take a closer look at the person’s photos and bio.

If they don’t like what they see, they will most likely not respond to you even if you were to send them the first message.

When you match with someone on an online dating site, you may not always be matching with a real person.

There are a good number of dating sites that have fake bots that go about matching with as many people as possible.

These fake bots aren’t going to send you personalized messages.

They are merely there to get you to follow a rabbit hole that leads to some kind of scam.

Also, when you match with someone on an online dating site and they don’t message you, it may simply be due to bad timing.

You may have matched with this person at a time when the person is getting a little bit more serious about someone else that they may have matched with fairly recently or a while back.

Indeed, this person may even be in the process of going out on real dates with this person.

Hence, they are unlikely to message you or reply to your first message to them because they want to focus their time and energy on their current person of interest.
