It isn’t cheating if you downloaded a dating app and immediately deleted it. That said, there is a reason why you downloaded the dating app.
The next time you are really unhappy with your partner, there is a good chance you are inadvertently downloading a dating app once more.
Even if you delete it immediately yet again, it is only a matter of time before you don’t.
Yes, there will come a time when you won’t have the compulsion nor willpower to delete the dating app. It installs and you click right into it.
This is when the doorway that leads to cheating is opened. And no, telling yourself that all you are doing is talking to your matches with no intention of ever meeting them, doesn’t absolve you of culpability.
Talking to the men you match with is still a form of cheating. You would be having an emotional affair with them, as they fulfill an emotional abyss within you that your current partner isn’t fulfilling.
This is what the future entails for you, unless you work out the relationship issues that you are currently experiencing with your partner.
Address them now by talking to him about them. As a team, put together remedies to fix these issues. Only when you are working together to remedy a problem does it stand a chance of being resolved.
Do this immediately.
The longer you wait to resolve the relationship issues you are having with your partner, the greater the likelihood that you won’t have the willpower to delete a dating app the next time you have the powerful urge to install one.
