We Broke Up And He Joined A Dating Website A Few Days Later. How Can Men Move On So Fast?

Even though the both of you broke up and he joined a dating website a few days later, this doesn’t automatically mean that he has moved on.

At face value, it may seem as though he has moved on so fast after this breakup.

However, do understand that oftentimes, men don’t like to deal with their feelings.

They like to keep their feelings repressed.

When they go through a breakup with someone that they truly cared about, they will often experience emotions that they don’t really know how to deal with.

Most men aren’t raised to embrace their emotions.

Oftentimes, they are thought to suck it up and repress them.

Hence, when your ex suddenly joined a dating website only a few days later, he may have been hoping to suppress the emotions that he was experiencing by finding a distraction.

If he cared about you during the relationship, there is a good chance that the breakup caused some emotional pain.

Again, he doesn’t know how to deal with this.

By joining a dating website, he is hoping that he can somehow get past this feeling.

Hence, it is not so much that he has moved on so fast, it is more so that he is repressing his feelings by joining a dating website.

He may have not expected to experience these emotions after the breakup.

In fact, he may have thought that he would be okay.

Like many men do, he may have tried to find a practical distraction.

Perhaps he hung out with his buddies or even played video games.

However, as each day went by, the emotions may have become stronger and stronger.

He may have soon reached the point where he decided that he had to escape the emotional baggage that was continuing to compound itself with each passing day since the breakup.

Hanging out with his buddies just doesn’t seem to be working anymore.

He is still thinking about you when he is with them.

Playing video games is not working either.

He can barely concentrate on the games.

He soon decides that he needs to find something else.

Perhaps finding someone else to replace you will help to keep these emotions at bay and even eviscerate them.

This is what consequently leads him to joining a dating website.

It may have technically been a few days later, but to him, those days may have felt like an eternity.

You both broke up and he joined a dating website a few days later because he may have really not liked being alone.

There are some men who simply can’t go for any considerable stretch of time without being with someone.

It is not so much that he has moved on so fast, it is more so that he is just scared.

He is scared of being alone.

He is not comfortable with this.

A guy like this would even allow himself to get into toxic relationships so as not to be alone.

It often has to do with insecurity.

A guy like this may have abandonment issues that stemmed from his childhood.

He may have had a history of adults that should have been there for him as he was growing up sporadically coming in and out of his life.

This may have made him fearful about being abandoned.

Hence, when a relationship ends, he is quickly trying to find the next.

Again, it is not so much that he moves on so fast, it is more so that the fear of being abandoned overwhelms the sense of loss that he may have of a romantic partner.

He would behave this way with anyone he dates, regardless of how amazing the relationship was.

Indeed, there may still be a part of him that continues to miss you, but as long as he is with someone, he has taken care of his fear of being abandoned.

This may be of the utmost importance to him, more so than anyone that he actually dates.
