Guy Asks For Number On Online Dating Site, Wants To Hang Out, Then Stops Talking To Me?

He didn’t get the same excitement from talking to you on the phone as he did on the online dating site.

This is an experience that is confusing to those who experience it but it is actually not that uncommon in online dating.

You may have been having some really good conversations with a guy on an online dating site for a while and he may have asked for your number with the intention of hanging out, only to have him stop talking to you after one or just a few conversations with you over the phone.

Oftentimes, a guy can get really excited about talking to the person that he met on an online dating site in real time and in real life.

He looks forward to hearing your voice or texting you over the phone.

He imagines how amazing it is going to be when he has this experience and what hanging out with the person in real life would be like.

He has gotten so excited over communicating with you on the online dating site that he believes that the communication and spark between the both of you will even be better over the phone.

However, once you have given this guy your number and he talks or communicates with you on the phone, he suddenly isn’t quite sure why he isn’t feeling as giddy as he once was when he would interact with you on the online dating site.

He was already looking forward to hanging out with you and had envisioned what that would look like in his mind, but now he isn’t even sure about his conversation with you over the phone.

It just didn’t feel right. Something just felt off about it.

He tries to convince himself that it must have just been some kind of fluke.

After all, he wouldn’t have asked for your number on the online dating site in the hopes of eventually hanging out with you if he wasn’t feeling a strong romantic spark for you.

As a result, he decides that he will have another conversation with you over the phone.

He does have another conversation or two with you over the phone but it is still the same thing.

He doesn’t feel the same kind of romantic spark that he did when he was communicating with you on the online dating site.

His hopes to hang out with you begin to quickly diminish in his mind.

He tells himself that he will think about this before doing anything decisive.

In essence, he will try not to stop talking to you until he is certain that there truly is no romantic desire on his part.

He takes some time away from talking to you on the phone, realizes that he still feels like there is no romantic spark between the both of you and consequently decides to stop talking to you altogether.

Oftentimes, people can have chemistry when they are communicating on an online dating site that consequently dissipates when they actually start communicating in real life with each other.

Communicating online can be quite impersonal.

As a result, a person can make themselves believe that they have chemistry with someone, when in truth, they have built up who they think this person is through their imagination.

This build up is what can falsely make two people who have been communicating on an online dating site believe that they actually have chemistry, when in fact, they only have chemistry online because they have used a lot of their imagination to create the person that they hope the other person is.

Once these two actually get to communicate in real life, the reality of this interaction can be quite jarring.

Everything that they had romanticized about the other person in their minds has come to a crashing halt.

They simply don’t feel that romantic spark.

As a result, though they may have wanted to hang out, they no longer do and they stop talking to you.
