I Met A Guy On A Dating Website Who Isn't Ready To Meet In Person After A Month Of Talking?

This guy may not be interested in meeting in person at all.

You may have met him on a dating website but he may not be truly looking for the same kind of relationship that you are.

If you are looking for a serious relationship, a month of talking to each other is more than enough time for him to be ready to meet you in person.

Even if he has told you in conversations that you have had with him that he is looking for a serious relationship as well, he is not being truthful.

Guys who are honest about wanting to find a serious relationship will often want to meet the person that they have been talking to in a sufficient amount of time.

A month of talking is more than sufficient.

If this guy isn’t ready to meet in person, he may be indicating that he has always just seen his conversations with you as a way to just have someone to talk to.

He may have never been serious about wanting to find someone for a serious relationship.

He may have written that in his dating profile because he felt that this would be the only way he would be able to get a girl to talk to him over a sustained period of time.

There are guys who will do this on a dating website.

They try to mislead girls into thinking that they are seeking a serious relationship so that those girls become willing to talk to them for an extended period of time.

However, all the while, they have merely been talking to these girls for their own selfish reasons.

Again, he may just want someone to talk to.

Oftentimes, this may be because he has been through a difficult breakup with someone.

He doesn’t want to continue dealing with the emotional baggage of the breakup on his own.

In finding girls to talk to on a dating website, he is able to take his mind away from the breakup for a while.

This guy that you met on a dating website who isn’t ready to meet in person after a month of talking may simply have wanted someone to keep him company.

Being that he is emotionally unavailable to anyone due to this breakup, he knows that meeting a girl in person would be out of the question.

He hopes to stretch out his conversations with girls that fall into the trap of talking to him for as long as he can.

He doesn’t know for how long he is going to keep feeling the emotional weight of his breakup from his ex, so he is willing to talk to whoever is willing to talk to him on a dating website for as long as it takes.

Unfortunately, you may have been someone that this guy realized he could use for conversation on a dating website.

You may have gotten the impression that the both of you were having really good conversations and that all of this was headed somewhere.

You can’t blame yourself for this.

After all, this is the impression that the guy was trying to give.

However, something that you can learn from this experience is to always have a time frame for when you expect to meet someone in person.

Unless the both of you are communicating long distance, there should be no reason why a guy who is looking for a serious relationship wouldn’t be ready to meet you within a week to two weeks of communication.

As long as the both of you have been consistently communicating and getting to know each other better during that time.

If you go beyond two weeks of talking to a guy that you met on a dating website and he is still not ready to meet in person, there is a good chance that you may be dealing with a guy who has no interest of ever meeting in person.

This is when you should strongly consider letting the guy go.

Your time is precious.

The last thing you want is to give much of it to a guy who is only on the dating website to talk and nothing more.
