Why Do Guys Say That They Have An Average Body Type On Dating Sites When They Don't?

These are guys who are hoping to fit in.

They may have initially been honest about what their body type truly is.

Perhaps they are actually more overweight than they are average.

They may have been initially honest in including this fact in their dating profiles.

However, they may not have gotten much attention, if any, from women on dating sites.

They may get to the point where they become upset about this.

They start asking themselves about why this is.

Being that they were already insecure about their body type in real life, they quickly come to the conclusion that the lack of attention from women on dating sites must be because of their body type.

They decide that it may be best to say that they have an average body type just so that they can fit in and hopefully get more girls to message them.

Though they know that they are actually not of average body type, they just do not want to keep being ignored.

They try not to acknowledge that doing something like this is wrong and misleading.

These guys try to justify the fact that they have purposely been dishonest about their body type by telling themselves that they simply had no choice.

As far as they are concerned, it was either this or no attention.

They don’t want to keep getting no attention.

Hence, they become dishonest about their body type.

They hope that by doing this, they will have more of a chance of getting girls to send them messages on dating sites.

They hope that in the process of interacting with some of these girls, they will get them to like their personalities, even though they have misled these girls into believing that they are actually of average body type.

Guys say that they have an average body type on dating sites when they don’t because they may have once been that size.

They may have once been of average body size and believe that this is where they still are.

In essence, they may be in denial that they have gained quite a few pounds in the last few years.

These may be guys who are still holding on to the ideal weight that they once had.

They may have been at that ideal weight for a considerable period of time and may have only recently, perhaps in the last few years, gained extra weight.

Hence, in their minds, they may still feel as though they are of average body type.

They are reluctant to accept the fact that they have gained extra weight, even though, somewhere in the back of their minds, they know that they have.

Perhaps they try to justify their reasoning by telling themselves that they will soon lose the weight.

After all, they were once at that ideal weight and hence, they can get back there again.

Being of this mindset, it is easier for them to say that they have an average body type on dating sites when they don’t.

Guys say that they have an average body type on dating sites when they don’t because they may also have a lot of people around them in their real lives who are much bigger than them.

In other words, a lot of their family members and friends may be much heavier than they are.

Being that these are the people who they spend most of their time with, they may start believing that they are of average body type because they tend to be the smallest in size compared to their family members and friends.

Their family members and friends may even tell them regularly about how much smaller they are compared to them.

This can lead some guys to start believing that they are indeed of average body type, when in reality, they are still overweight.

Hence, they say that they have an average body type on dating sites.
