It is the social media age.
The more followers a person has on their social media, the more popularity and status they have.
People who use dating apps to build their followers on social media are often the kind of people that are seeking attention and personal gain.
They are not necessarily looking for a serious relationship.
If they were, they would know to separate their social media presence from their online dating presence.
However, when they are routing people who visit their dating profiles to their social media profile links, they are often trying to get a boost to their egos and their pocketbooks.
Again, the more followers they have, the more popularity and status they have.
This kind of popularity can often convert into big money for them through sponsorships and promoting products on their social media platforms.
So, this is not only about getting their sense of importance and egos fed by inflating their follower count, it is also about money.
This is why you should be weary of people who use dating apps to build followers to their social media platforms.
Again, if they are truly looking for a serious relationship, there should be a separation between their social media presence and their online dating presence.
And yet, there is no separation.
They have blended their online dating presence into their social media presence.
It can be sometimes difficult to ignore a person like this because they may have some really good pictures on their online dating profile and they themselves are often physically attractive people.
Remember that this is a person who most likely spends most of their day on their social media profile, making sure that their posts and pictures are perfect so that they can maximize their ability to profit from it all.
Knowing that the main reason why they have joined an online dating platform is to build followers to their social media profile by routing them to said profile within the body of their online dating profile bios, they are going to use some of their best pictures to attract these followers.
Many of the amazing pictures that you will see of them on their online dating profiles were specifically taken for their social media profiles.
Those pictures have worked in attracting followers to their social media profiles.
They post some of those pictures on their online dating profiles with the expectation that those pictures will attract followers just as they have done on their social media profiles.
They lure you in with those gorgeous pictures.
Some people take the bait because they are so enamored by the pictures and how attractive the person is.
Before they know it, they are following the social media links that this person has left behind in their online dating profile and soon sending a request to become a follower or friend on this person’s social media profile.
Then they get sucked into this person’s lifestyle which may or may not be merely being portrayed in order to attract even more followers so that this person can profit off of their popularity and status.
Before they know it, they get so caught up in the lifestyle that this person is showcasing that they forget about the reason why they joined the dating app to begin with.
Life is all about this social media personality.
They find themselves visiting this social media personality’s profile every morning and throughout the day just to watch the person’s social media stories.
The more extravagant and engaging this social media personality’s stories are, the more they become attached.
Soon, they are falling for something that is merely a facade and most likely not representative of who the real person truly is in real life.
You could just as easily get sucked into this vortex of never-ending spectacle and entertainment.
You should avoid any of this before it even begins.
If you view a profile where the person has left a social media link or has social media links plastered all over the place, simply skip that person and move on to the next.
Your precious time will thank you for being so wise and astute.
