These men may feel as though they aren’t getting enough attention from their relationship partner.
This often happens when two people get into a relationship and one or both of them becomes complacent.
That relationship partner who gets complacent may just get to a point where they feel as though they no longer have to put out that much effort in letting their significant other know how special they are to them.
Hence, these men who still use online dating sites when they’re in a relationship may have simply gotten to the point where they feel as though their relationship partner has taken them for granted.
Once these men get to this point, they may feel unappreciated.
In joining an online dating site, they may start getting the kind of attention from a person that they are no longer getting from their relationship partner.
They may start getting compliments again.
They may start getting a person to listen to them again.
They may start getting high praise for something that they may have recently accomplished.
In essence, they start getting the kind of attention that they may have initially gotten from their current relationship partner when that relationship first began.
These men may really miss and crave this attention.
Thereby, they choose to use online dating sites even when they’re in a relationship.
Some men still use online dating sites when they’re in a relationship because they are looking for women to chat with.
A lot of these men do not necessarily believe that they are doing anything wrong by this or even cheating.
In their minds, they simply want to talk to these women on an online dating site because they want more women to chat with.
Perhaps these men have gotten bored with the conversations that they have with their current relationship partner.
Conversation with their current relationship partner may have become dull and monotonous in nature.
Hence, these men feel as though these conversations are merely recycled from previous conversations.
There is nothing new.
In essence, they seem to be talking about the same topics, only with slight variances.
As a result, some of these men end up using an online dating site in order to have more interesting conversations with women.
They have most likely told themselves that only communicating with women on an online dating site is not the same thing as cheating.
Hence, they are able to use these online dating sites to chat with women with a clear conscience.
Some men also still use online dating sites when they’re in a relationship because they may believe that they will be having a breakup with their girlfriend soon and thereby they are searching for a replacement.
These men tell themselves that their relationship seems to be headed for a breakup in the imminent future and they would be wise to start looking for someone new, so as not to be left empty-handed when that breakup happens.
By convincing themselves that their relationships are about to end, they are able to use an online dating site to start communicating with new women with a clear conscience.
Some of these men may not even end up going through a breakup with their girlfriends.
However, every time they believe that this is about to happen, they decide to use an online dating site in order to have a quick replacement girlfriend just in case that breakup does happen.
